Wyn won the much coveted Tlws Y Cerddor (composers medal) prize at the Welsh National Eisteddfod, Flintshire in 2007. The winning piece, 'Self-Portriait' for solo classical guitar was given its first performance by renowned Australian guitarist Craig Ogden, at the prize giving ceremony in Mold. The Three Welsh Tenors will be releasing 'Tarantella', a new album later this year featuring two new pieces of music by Wyn Pearson. The first is an arrangement of the popular Welsh hymn 'Rhys', which will be recorded in Welsh, and in English as a bonus track. The second, 'Gymru Gwelaf Di' is a brand new aria composed especially for The Three Tenors with words written by Dafydd Iwan.
